In Hebrew, Chayah is a verb that means “to live”, “to be alive”, and “to be restored to life”. That, in essence, is the purpose of the Chayah House Ministry. Women who have come from desperate situations of drug use, relational crisis, financial struggles, and homelessness are often in need of a safe and structured living situation.
At Chayah House, not only are women able to receive their basic needs of housing, food, and safety, they are also offered companionship, discipleship, and practical tools to help them feel confident and hopeful for their futures. This holistic ministry offers mentoring to help residents establish and work towards career, educational, personal, relational, and spiritual goals.
